How Solar & Battery Actually Works

The details on sizing, installation, incentives and support.

Everything you need before you decide.

Custom Solar Installation for Residential Homes

A properly designed solar system starts with understanding how your home actually consumes energy.

We assess:

• Daily and seasonal usage
• Roof orientation and shading
• Switchboard capacity
• Future household plans

With access to 30+ panels and 20+ inverter brands, we design systems that are tailored – not templated.

Whether you’re installing solar for the first time or replacing an older system, we ensure the system size and component selection suit your property.

What Happens on Installation Day

Your accredited installer arrives, confirms the layout against your design, and gets to work – mounting panels, running cabling, and connecting into your switchboard. Every job is tested on-site before we hand it back to you, with a full walkthrough of your new system before we leave.

Grid Connection & Paperwork

Once your system is installed, it needs to be connected to the grid and approved by Energex before it can begin exporting power. That involves lodging your system details, confirming everything meets current compliance standards, and waiting on formal sign-off before it’s switched on at full capacity. We manage this entire process for you, including all the paperwork, so you’re not left chasing approvals or filling out forms yourself.

Warranties

Every system comes backed by strong coverage: up to 25 years on solar panels and 10 years on battery storage, so you’re protected well beyond the day it’s switched on. Exact terms can vary slightly depending on the specific panel, inverter or battery brand fitted to your home, and we’ll confirm those specifics as part of your system design before you sign off.

Battery Storage for Greater Energy Independence

Store More of What You Generate

A battery system allows you to store excess solar energy produced during the day and use it at night, during peak tariff periods, or during grid interruptions. Instead of exporting power for minimal feed-in credits, you retain more of your own energy and increase self-consumption.

Designed for Your Usage Pattern

Battery capacity isn’t one-size-fits-all. We assess your evening consumption, household load, and future plans to recommend the right storage size — ensuring performance without overspending.

Government Battery Incentives Available

Eligible Queensland homeowners may be able to access federal battery incentives, helping reduce the upfront cost of installation.
As part of your assessment, we’ll confirm eligibility and outline how available rebates or incentives can be applied to your system design.

Blackout Backup vs Self-Consumption

A battery can be set up to prioritise using more of your own power day to day, or to hold reserve for blackout backup. The right balance depends on how often outages affect your area and how you use power in the evening, and we talk through both options as part of your assessment.

Monitoring

Track your battery’s charge, discharge and savings in real time from your phone. See exactly how much power you’re generating, storing and drawing from the grid at any given moment, so there’s no guesswork about how your system is performing. It’s the same visibility that gives you confidence your battery is doing its job, day in and day out.

Incentive Eligibility

Eligible Queensland homeowners may be able to access federal battery incentives, which can meaningfully reduce the upfront cost of your system. Eligibility depends on factors like your location, system size and household circumstances, and as part of your assessment we confirm exactly what you qualify for and how it applies to your quote.

Accredited Installers.
No Shortcuts.

A quality solar or battery system depends on more than components — it depends on how it’s installed.

All systems are installed by SAA-accredited professionals and completed in accordance with current Australian Standards. We assess roof structure, switchboard capacity, cable routing, and grid compliance before installation begins — ensuring safety, performance, and long-term reliability.

Add Battery Storage to Your Existing Solar System

Stop Giving Away The Power You Generate

If you already have solar, you’re likely exporting excess energy during the day — only to buy power back at higher evening rates. Adding a battery lets you store that energy and use it when you need it most, increasing self-consumption and reducing grid reliance.

Designed Around Your Existing System

Not all systems are battery-ready. We assess your inverter type, system configuration, and capacity to determine the safest and most effective integration method. Our approach focuses on proper system design — not quick bolt-ons.

Government Battery Incentives Still Apply

Federal battery incentives may be available when adding storage to an existing solar system. If eligible, we’ll outline how available rebates can be applied to help reduce upfront costs.
